In the service: Nicole M. Rivera

Alfred and Stacy Rivera of Penn Valley are proud to announce the graduation of their daughter, PV2 Nicole M. Rivera, from Basic Training in Fort Jackson, S.C.; Jump School in Fort Lee, Va.; and Airborne Paratrooper Training School in Fort Benning, Ga.

She is currently stationed in Fort Bragg, N.C., as a parachute ranger with the 19th Airborne Division. Her responsibilities include packing and preparing parachutes for troops and supplies for tanks. She is a 2006 graduate of Nevada Union High School.
