Spc. Raymond “Louie” Meeks, a specialist electronic device repairer with the 1st Armored Division stationed in Iraq, will be home on leave in Grass Valley for the next two weeks.

He graduated from basic training in South Carolina and from schooling for electronics in Georgia.

He has been stationed in Colorado until transferring to Baumholder, Germany, on Nov. 1, 2002, and then to Iraq.

He is a 2000 graduate of Nevada Union High School

He is the son of Patsy Boyer of Grass Valley.
