Amy Duran

Army Pvt. Amy K. Duran has arrived for duty at Hunter Army Airfield in Savannah, Ga. Duran is an automated logistical specialist assigned to the 603rd Aviation Support Battalion.

She is the daughter of Christopher and Beth Lewis of Quail Alley, Rough and Ready.



The private is a 2005 graduate of Nevada Union High School in Grass Valley.

Eloise Raymond




Army Pfc. Eloise R.M. Raymond has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. During the nine weeks of training, the soldier studied the Army mission, history, tradition and core values, physical fitness, and received instruction and practice in basic combat skills, military weapons, chemical warfare and bayonet training, drill and ceremony, marching, rifle marksmanship, armed and unarmed combat, map reading, field tactics, military courtesy, military justice system, basic first aid, foot marches and field training exercises.

She is the daughter of Laurence and stepdaughter of Mark Fogiel of Witt Lane, Nevada City.

Ms. Raymond is a 2004 graduate of Arroyo High School, San Lorenzo.
