Navy Corpsman Curtis James Randall graduated Sept. 7, 2007, from Basic Training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. He then completed Hospital Corpsman training, known as “A” School, on Jan. 25. He transferred to Camp Pendleton where he worked in the Naval Hospital until classing up in March for Field Medical Training, which trained him as medical support for the U.S. Marines. He graduated on May 14. At that time, he reported to his new assignment with Charlie Surgical Company, 1st Medical Battalion.

Curtis is the son of Joseph and Cindy Randall of Grass Valley and the brother of Travis. He is an Eagle Scout with Troop 24 of Nevada City and a 2007 graduate of Nevada Union High School.
