If you want to give up your rights, move somewhere else

It’s interesting to read how some folks twist reality to match what they want to believe. A letter writer seemed to suggest that since government exists, our right to keep and bear arms shouldn’t.

Our forefathers realized the importance of our ability to protect ourselves from others and our government, if necessary. They had the wisdom to institute the Second Amendment. “A well-regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.”

When governments infringe on that right, other freedoms usually follow until they are all gone. If you want to give up your rights, you could move somewhere appropriate – China perhaps.
