‘I want mine’ attitude

Your recent online question regarding whether or not Social Security benefits should be changed is displaying a level of ignorance that is very disturbing. Most have voted “no” to the question. Are these people living on the moon? This attitude of “I want mine regardless,” is going to bring our country down.

We have all known for years that the Social Security and Medicare systems have to be overhauled or they will go bankrupt. I am 41 and my children are 7. I would like my full benefits on time. However, I want more for our country to remain strong and free, not just for my children, but for all future generations. I, for one, will no longer vote for any politician who does not have the courage to address this issue. I know, I won’t be voting much.
