How can woman ‘walk’ in shooting?

“Woman walks in gun case” (The Union, Jan. 27). Hello? “Gun case”? It’s a shooting case. Have we forgotten that someone was shot? They are calling it an accident. If I’m not mistaken, or unless The Union misprinted, the victim said, “She shot me.” This doesn’t sound like someone who is confused about how it happened.

Someone must think we are stupid. Hmm. Are you paying attention? District Attorney Kull apparently isn’t interested in the protection of the people in our community. Letting people who shoot people go free. Did she not have a gun in her hand? Who stands over someone with a gun while they sleep? Yeah, let’s let her “walk.”

However, in the case of the Fosters, one of which has cancer, who was recently arrested for growing marijuana – I hope the DA sees fit to let them walk, too. So they can spend the rest of what they have left of their lives together. They certainly are less of a threat to society.
