Horsemen slate Western horse show

A Western schooling show sponsored by Nevada County Horsemen Inc. is scheduled for May 19 at the horse show grounds off Bubbling Wells Road in Glenbrook Basin.

Classes begin at 8 a.m. The show includes halter, lead-line, trailer, pleasure, equitation, horsemanship, Western riding and reining.

Age divisions are 13 and under, 14 through 17, 18 and over, and open. Awards will be presented to first place; ribbons will be awarded through fifth place. Entry fees are $4.99 for nonmembers and $4.50 for members.

The show is sanctioned by the California State Horsemen’s Association.

Other Western schooling show dates are June 16, July 21 and Sept. 15. English schooling shows are June 2 and Aug. 4.
