Homeless not monsters

As volunteers at Sierra Pines United Methodist Church Hospitality House we were greatly disappointed to learn the scheduled Oct. 15 opening date had to be postponed because someone objected to the homeless in their neighborhood. These people are not monsters or predators, but human beings like we are, only less fortunate.

We hope the G.V. City Council will uphold the Planning Commission’s recommendations and allow this humane endeavor to proceed.

We would recommend that anyone with doubts spend an evening serving food and interacting with these interesting people.
