Historic Buildings Alliance meets

The county’s Historic Buildings Alliance will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Loma Rica Ranch on Loma Rica Drive. Supervisor Bruce Conklin will lead the meeting.

On the agenda is the formation of an advisory committee to restore the North Star House, a building designed by Julia Morgan at the turn of the century.

The house sits on 760 acres that are slated for annexation into the city of Grass Valley and is in dire needs of repairs.

The meeting will be at the Knoop House on the Loma Rica Ranch.

From Brunswick Road, take a left onto Loma Rica Drive, go up the hill and take a left at the wooden gate. Proceed 200 feet into the park. The house is on the left. Bring folding chairs.

For information on the meeting, call Pamela Bryars, Board of Supervisors’ office at 265-7144.
