‘Hidden’ retreat money still in county general fund

I gotta comment on those mathematical geniuses who think that “Wonderful Sue” “found” a “hidden” $12,000 from the supervisors’ retreat. Geez, do those people think the rest of us just fell off a potato truck Let’s get it straight people: $30,000 was budgeted for the retreat. $18,000 was actually spent. Thus, an amount of $12,000 is still in the county general fund; can you folks understand that?

Sue, did you voice your concerns about the money spent on the retreat (certainly not an “adult party”) when the idea was put on the table, or did you wait until it was pretty much a done deal? The residents and voters in your district deserve an answer. Otherwise, they’ll smell something very unpleasant.
