Hey! Where are my mom and dad?

I, personally, woke up one day and my dad was gone. I was a little guy and I did not know any better. It was not until later in life that I realized he was not coming back. I began asking questions, such as: Where did he go? Why did he go? What did I do wrong? Do you think he will ever come back? Does he not love me?

If this was not bad enough, another person left. This time it was my mom. Again, I did not know any better. The same questions came to life. To this day my biggest question and wonder is “Why?” I have been exposed to a broken family. I have seen this in the past and continue to see it today with other children. There are many reasons, and I have heard them all. The excuse that gets my most attention is that the system and society suck and my life just plain sucks. Whose fault is this? What causes this? We can blame it on everyone and everything.

I believe the reason is the foundation of life. When there is no foundation, there is no structure.

Before it is too late, I would like to see the young parents that live in this kind of dysfunction start realizing that children are precious, and mom and dad are important. Get some good orderly direction in your lives, so you can get your children back and start loving them.

I was blessed to eventually receive good orderly direction from my great-grandmother, my foster parents, my pastor and God himself.
