Hey, ho, Social Security must go?

I find it hard to believe, but last week I heard a group of “Republicans” chanting, “Hey, hey. Ho, ho. Social Security has got to go” on CNN. But that is what they did, outside Sen. Rick Santorum’s Social Security town hall meeting in Philadelphia. How can it be that someone would suggest something so crass? Perhaps these people weren’t counting on Social Security to see them through their golden years. Well, not everyone is that lucky. Millions of Americans, some of them Republicans, depend on Social Security to get by. It’s time for all Americans to show some common sense and compassion for those less fortunate than themselves. If you give it much thought, you can clearly see that privatization of Social Security is just the first step toward getting rid of the program entirely.
