Herb Shop was her favorite county store

I am 11 years old. I go to Deer Creek School in Nevada City. The Herb Shop was my favorite store in all of Nevada County. Not a week before the fire started, I was sitting in the Herb Shop Cafe drinking smoothies with my friends. It’s really sad for me, my friends and my family.

The night before the building burned down, I wanted to go down just to look in the windows. It’s scary going to bed one night and everything is fine, and you wake up and your favorite store and restaurant has gone up in smoke. Just the other day, I saw one of the flower curtains burned up, hanging out of a window. It made me so sad to see that, because I have one of those curtains hanging in my room. I have lots of good memories there, and I can’t wait until they rebuild. From the Herb Shop I have a pink butterfly chair and a flower curtain, a flower picture frame, an Herb Shop Records T-shirt and a collection of CDs. I love the Herb Shop, and I can’t wait until they rebuild.
