Helpful hospital

There are times – and it’s the unexpected times usually – when an experience makes a huge impression on one’s life.

Recently I was obliged to occupy a bed at our local Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital due to a bout with pneumonia. My defensive shackles were up, yet the staff was gentle and patient. The kitchen staff especially must have pondered often over this old girl’s peculiar likes and dislikes.

I wish to thank them, one and all, for their good humor and loyalty. Isn’t that what it’s all about when one works to become well?
