Hearing doomed, indeed

I attended the hearing on Social Security held by our representative, John Doolittle, his staff and a representative from the Social Security administration. Two hundred people took this opportunity to be heard and not just lectured or told how to think. The Bush speaking tour seeks to sell his views to believers – no dissenters are admitted. I’m sorry Mr. Doolittle or the editor thought this event was “doomed and futile.” Most Americans still think they can address their opinions to elected officials and be heard. We even hope they can be heard in Washington D.C.
