Health care ailing

The U.S. now has the worst health-care system among the Industrialized countries, ranking 37th among 190 countries. The U.S. is the only Industrialized country that has not implemented a national group insurance health-care system.

Suggestion: Common sense indicates that; in spite of the insurance companies and the pharmaceutical companies opposition, every member of Congress should study the Western European health-care systems and implement a similar system in the U.S. Unfortunately, lawmakers gleefully accept bribes from these companies and prefer to observe the status quo – consequently, the number of uninsured citizens continue to increase (45 million to date).

The cost of health care and prescription drugs increase faster than inflation and; since Congress increases the defense budget every year and decreases the taxes to the wealthiest Americans, we are heading for total bankruptcy.
