Elaine Marie Hay and Erik Vahn Siebenthal, both of Chico, were married June 29 at the Lake Wildwood Country Club.

The wedding was officiated by Deryl Northcote.



The bride, a 1988 Nevada Union High School graduate, is the daughter of Madeline and Alan Hay of Grass Valley.

She is a 1992 graduate of Yuba College and will graduate from the University of Phoenix in 2003.




She works at Feather River Hospital in Paradise.

The groom, a 1991 graduate of Paradise High School, is the son of Cecilia Close of Paradise.

He graduated from Butte Culinary Academy in 2001 and works at Sierra Nevada Restaurant.

The maid of honor was Julie Chivens of Sacramento.

The bridesmaids were Lavette Hay of Marina; Jillian Hay of San Diego; and Candace Zylman, Elizabeth Coon, Marie McDonald and Laura Swanson, all of Chico.

The flower girl was LeAnn McDonald, age 6, of Chico.

The ring bearer was Holly Hay, 4, of Santa Rosa.

The best man was Mark Dikeman of Chico.

The groomsmen were Juan Valdes of Chico, Adam Hay of San Diego, Andy McDonald of San Jose and Alex Close of Portland.

The ushers were Brian Close of Portland, Ore.; and Mike Brunken of Chico.

The bride’s cousin, Greg Hay, gave the bride away in place of her father, who died in 1999.

Approximately 150 guests attended the ceremony and dinner reception.

Music was provided by soloist Julia Giezentanner of Chico.

The photographer was Laura Shady of Grass Valley.

The couple honeymooned in Europe.
