Hartman anniversary

Joe and Carol Hartman are celebrating 50 years of marriage today.

They were married on Feb. 15, 1958, in Garberville and spent their first night as husband and wife in Grass Valley. After residing in Belmont and San Carlos for 40 years, they relocated to Nevada City.

Mr. Hartman is a retired police sergeant and real estate investor. He enjoys restoring antique cars, woodworking projects and volunteering with Habitat for Humanity.

Mrs. Hartman worked as a preschool teacher for many years. She enjoys line dancing, gardening and painting.

Both enjoy spending time with their grandchildren.

The Hartmans have three daughters: Michele Regalado, of Belmont, Robin Hartman, of Fremont, and Tami (Lawrence) Martinson, of Grass Valley. They also have two grandchildren, Casey and Bailey Martinson.

The Hartmans will celebrate with 50 family and friends at the Stonehouse Restaurant.
