Harp workshops set for cancer patients

The Sierra Nevada Cancer Center is starting a new series of harp workshops for cancer patients, survivors and family members. Classes are free but there is a $60 harp rental for the 12-week series.

Classes will meet Fridays from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Outpatient Conference Area at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital. Call 274-6872 to register.

Instructor Lisa Stein majored in music therapy and received a bachelor’s degree in music from Ohio University. She has been involved in music therapy since 1974.

No prior musical experience is required to enroll in the class.
