Habitat for Humanity seeks families

The Family Selection Committee for Nevada County Habitat for Humanity has scheduled two orientation sessions for July 17 and 21.

Families selected for the organization’s new homes will be required to commit 500 hours of sweat equity toward Habitat programs.

Applications will be handed out and explained in detail to those who attend. The committee will then select families for the five new homes on North Church Street in Grass Valley.

The orientation meetings will be Saturday from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at the United Methodist Church, 230 S. Church St. in Grass Valley; and Wednesday, July 21, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Sierra Presbyterian Church, 175 Ridge Road in Nevada City.

For more information, call the Habitat office at 274-1951.
