Gym’s abrupt closure

To the soon-to-be former owners of Rising Starz Gymnastics:

I wanted to express my “sincere” gratitude to you, Ms. Larive. Being one of the few, fortunate parents to receive your lackluster explanation of the closing of Rising Starz Gymnastics, I felt compelled to express myself. As your letter states, “We never really wanted a gym, but after we bought it for Carie, and she left, we kept it going for the kids” I must ask you: Was it this same compassion for the kids (not to mention your dedicated staff) that compelled you to provide the abrupt notice of the closure? The students and staff have dedicated themselves to this organization for the past several years. If the only reason you threw your money into the gym was for your own daughter’s short interest in the sport and your own profit margin, you invested in the wrong business venture. Rising Starz was initially created to serve the children and young adults of Nevada County. I do sympathize with the loss to your Bay Area restaurant. However, maybe your Bay Area dollars would have been better spent in the Bay Area.
