GV traffic crackdown needed

Was glad to read in the paper that the CHP is starting giving citations on Highway 49 to the crazy drivers that do not obey the law. It is not the highway that causes the wrecks as 99 percent of those are caused by bad driving. Good for the CHP.

I also believe that the Grass Valley police should start doing the same and then maybe we can drive on the streets as normal drivers without worrying that someone will hit you. The portable units that show how fast you are going were a waste of money as when they’re taken away, the drivers go back to speeding. I live on a street that is 25 MPH and everyone is doing at least 35 to 50 MPH. Come on, Grass Valley. Get with the program and make our streets safe.
