Hollie Grimaldi and Ernest Flores, both of Grass Valley, were married June 22 (following a private civil ceremony Aug. 25, 2001). The garden ceremony was officiated by Dr. Max Vogt.

The bride is the daughter of M. Marie Hinkley and Valentino Grimaldi, both of Phoenix. She graduated from Vestal High School in New York in 1979 and from Syracuse University in 1984 with a degree in radio and television production. She is proprietor of Balancing Act Full Charge Bookkeeping and chief financial officer of Linear Design Group. She is also president of Soroptimist International of Grass Valley, 2002-03.

The groom, a 1973 graduate of Serra High School, is the son of Gloria and Joseph Flores of San Francisco. He is chief executive officer of Linear Design Group. He is also treasurer and on the board of directors for the Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Coalition.

The bride wore a gold satin gown with lace overlay designed by Nancy Taylor, Alenscon, Mill Valley. She carried a bouquet of cream-colored roses.

The matron of honor was the bride’s sister, Monica Sanders, of Port Crane, N.Y.

The bridesmaids were Joni Enders of Rocklin, Nancy Taylor of San Anselmo and Lynn Walsh of Vestal, N.Y.

The flower girl was the bride’s daughter, Courtney Taylor, age 7.

The ring bearer was the groom’s son, Timothy Daniel Flores, 7.

The best man was Steve Cooney of Santa Rosa.

The groomsmen were David Scinto of Grass Valley, Tim Tweitmeyer of Auburn and the groom’s father, Joseph Flores of San Francisco.

The guest-book attendant was Sue Hudson. The wedding coordinator was Susan Kraut.

Special guests included many friends and relatives from Nebraska, Pennsylvania, Arizona and Concord.

Seven Hills Middle School Concert Band conducted by Ruth Mary Harrop, including the bride’s son, Trevor Wade, entertained guests before the ceremony and played the wedding march.

The music was by soloist Janet Jones, accompanied by Danny Buttacavoli on guitar. Buttacavoli sang for the couple’s first dance. Additional music was provided by Nite Train Review and Petting Zoo.

Food and decorations were prepared by Soroptimist International of Grass Valley members Kathy Ryan, Carol Scofield, Judy Barker, Julie Roberts, Carey Sweet and Sue Hudson.

Fresh flower bouquets and boutonnieres were crafted by Joni Enders.

The photographer was Debbie Krogman.

The couple honeymooned in Kauai. They live in Grass Valley.
