Four Grass Valley men were arrested for allegedly beating up a fifth Grass Valley man who is accused of domestic assault.

Richard R Rodriguez, 19; Gabriel P. Purcell, 18; Larry S. Terronez, 18; and Gabriel A. Perkins, 25, were each arrested on suspicion of burglary and criminal conspiracy. Rodriguez, Purcell and Terronez are also charged with assault, battery with serious bodily injury, and resisting arrest.

They’re accused of breaking into an apartment on Biggs Avenue near Colfax Avenue before 23-year-old Michael Myers was kicked, punched, and stomped in retaliation for Myers’ alleged assault of his girlfriend, Sgt. Mike Hooker said.

Myers was treated at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital for a broken nose and a gash beneath one eye, and later booked into jail on suspicion of domestic assault.
