Graduation " Megan Douglas

Megan Renee Douglas of Grass Valley received a bachelor’s degree from Smith College on May 18. She was one of 710 seniors who graduated during the college’s 130th commencement exercises. Pulitzer Prize-winning Playwright Margaret Edson was the featured speaker.

She graduated from Nevada Union High School and Portland Community College, where she earned a 4.0 GPA.

Ms. Douglas majored in economics at Smith. Her undergraduate activities included: The Women and Financial Independence Outreach Program and The Investment Club Energy Sector Liaison. She was a student in Smith’s Ada Comstock Scholars Program for students beyond the traditional age.

Ms. Douglas has accepted a position with I.C.F. International, a consulting firm in Washington, D.C.

She is the daughter of Laura Todd of Grass Valley and Bruce Douglas of La Habra Heights.
