GOP targets Kerry

The latest Gallup poll suggests that Senator Kerry would beat President Bush by 53 to 46 percent if the election were held today. But it’s early yet, and the senator shouldn’t get too excited. I hear that the Republican National Committee is already interviewing random prepubescent girls, trying to find one who will testify to having sex with Mr. Kerry. And I understand that in the event that fails, the printing presses are already turning out the “Impeach Kerry” bumper stickers. However, maybe I hear wrong. I can’t believe that our great democracy could work this way. It couldn’t, could it?
