GOP nukes free speech

Well, they are at it again. The administration and right-wing Republicans believe anything is justified if it suits their purpose. Now they want to employ the “nuclear option” to, for all time, prohibit filibustering of judicial appointees.

Dumb … this is the equivalent of releasing a political biological weapon. Like a biological weapon, you never know who will be infected. This will inevitably come back to haunt them in the future when they want to stop a Democratic appointee. In the meantime, they destroy any hope of the Senate getting anything done in the next few years.

Worse, they begin a slide down the slippery slope of inhibiting free speech. But then, they seem to feel only they are entitled to free speech, like they feel that only they are entitled to decide the destiny of this country.

We’re in deep doo doo now.
