GOP committee host to Doolittle

Congressman John Doolittle, whose district now includes Nevada County, will speak in Nevada City Wednesday.

The appearance will be Doolittle’s first in Nevada County since this year’s redistricting moved the county into the 4th Congressional District represented by him from the 2nd District represented by Congressman Wally Herger.

Doolittle is a Republican from Rocklin.

His appearance, which is open to the public, is sponsored by the Nevada County Republican Central Committee. It begins at 7 p.m. at the Board of Supervisors Chambers at Rood Administrative Center.

Also appearing will be Dan Ostrander, a candidate for State Assembly; and County Superintendent of Schools Terry McAteer, who will discuss a high school bond issue that will be on the March ballot.
