GOP: Borrow and spend

Republicans just ushered in a record-breaking national debt for the third year. Now it’s $9 trillion. And once Congress increased our debt limit over every Democrat’s objections, Republicans rushed to meet it with pet projects and pork to help their ailing popularity. Well, you’re not fooling me. You’re just borrow-and-spend instead of tax-and-spend. And much of this increase was to pay past borrowing? Whatever Republicans. If you have to borrow to pay back your debt then you’re definitely in trouble. We can’t sustain that behavior. You made all kinds of noise about fiscal responsibility when you slashed social programs, but in reality you’re just yanking our safety net and forcing my family to pay for your indulgence. It seems every action you take benefits your corporate backers but not the rest of us. We have serious problems in our community, and we can’t even get our Representative Doolittle to trickle down. He’s too busy helping out big donors like dam developers and out-of-state tribes. Now we all have to live in a weaker America thanks to Republican folly. The sooner we separate corporations from state the better – and more democratic – we’ll be.
