Give mural a chance

Apparently not everyone remembers that the Del Oro Theater belongs to Mike and Barbara Getz and they can paint anything they want to on their building.

I’d like to thank them for the generosity they’ve shown in allowing an appointed committee of concerned residents select an artist to create a mural for the back portion of their theater. I’d also like to thank that same committee for tackling the often thankless job they’ve undertaken.

Because one’s impression of art is so subjective, there is no way to please everyone. If there were, paintings by Kinkade would receive the same reviews as those by Picasso. Let’s at least wait until the mural design is a little closer to approval before we write it off as a total disaster.
