Give Hullender appreciations now

I miss seeing Bill Hullender walking around the streets of Grass Valley. It used to be a common sight, but now Bill is too ill to be out and about. Which made me wonder if others have missed him – and think about him, as I do.

Bill has given a good portion of his life to Grass Valley. He loves this city and its people. He represented us well during three terms on the City Council, two terms as mayor – that’s 12 years of public service to us. He is a humble, quiet, honest man with high standards and ideals. Since meeting him in 1988, I have always liked and respected him.

Since he has done so many behind-the-scenes good deeds, I am sure there are many who owe Bill a great deal. We, as a community, should be sending him our thanks and good wishes. Now; don’t wait. I challenge all of us to send him a note, telling him how special he is to us, thanking him for a life of goodness that he has unselfishly shared with us! He is such a great man!
