Gift from son stolen

I would like to address this letter to the thoughtful person who coveted my pink Valentine’s Day antenna ball so much that they needed to have it for their own.

It’s not just the fact that you took something that did not belong to you, and it’s not even the fact that you broke my car antenna to get it. The big deal for me is that it was a gift from my son, who is in the Navy. It meant a little more to me than a silly, heart-covered antenna ball.

I hope you immediately rushed over to your own car to display your new treasure, and I hope that you will continue to display your new treasure all over this small town of ours. I know you will feel proud sporting the pink little bobble that a sailor in the U.S. Navy sent to his mother.

Have a nice day.
