Get outside with Wildlife Preserve events

Learn more about water bugs or take a walk at Spenceville Wildlife Preserve this week with the Yuba Watershed Institute.

Beginning at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, fly-fishing expert Ralph Cutter will give a presentation, “Through the Looking Glass: the World of Aquatic Insects” featuring underwater video footage. The talk will be held at the Madelyn Helling Library’s community room in Nevada City.

On Saturday, Julie Carville will host a hike at the Spenceville Wildlife Preserve from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Preregistration is required.
