Friend and ally?

For reasons that remain unknown to the majority of her countrymen, our nation has become the protector and financial supporter of a foreign nation described as her friend and ally.

On June 8, 1967, Israel attacked the USS Liberty, an unarmed U.S. Navy communications ship. The Liberty was under fire from aircraft, torpedoes and gunboats. They machine-gunned the lifeboats. Israel’s score, 37 killed and 171 wounded. The story was suppressed for 20 years. The survivors were denounced as anti-Semites for finally telling their story.

Super spy Jonathan Pollard was arrested outside the entrance of the Israeli Ministry on Nov. 12, 1986. Casper Weinburger, secretary of defense said, “Compared to Pollard, the damage done by other spies during the Cold War pales into insignificance. Pollard read, copied every worthwhile secret we had for Israel.”

Israel has three German-built atomic submarines, each armed with 20 atomic bombs.
