Despite your claims that your “journalistic principles” prevent you from slanting news or photos (Richard Somerville column, Oct. 9), your bias is obvious in the race for District 3 supervisor. A sign for one candidate was in the background of a photo on Sept. 16 (Page A2), and then you also unabashedly printed a front-page photo prominently showing a campaign sign for the same candidate (Sept. 17). What kind of “journalistic principles” allow free front-page campaign advertising for one candidate and not for his opponents?
