Food for thought

It appears The Union has a burr in the knickers regarding Mayor Stevens requesting a “meal allowance” while traveling in Cornwell, England, April 30-May 14. If I am not mistaken, the city administrator requested the mayor take this trip. If the cost of meals seems to be a problem, maybe we can get a few folks together and pack up some “travel meals” for the mayor to take along with her, or better yet, forget altogether about having a “sister city” and therefore, have one less thing to complain about.
