FOL book sale celebrates 30 years

Friends of the Nevada County Libraries will hold its monthly book sale from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 2 in the basement of the Doris Foley Historical Research Library, 211 N. Pine St., Nevada City.

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the sale, the group will present a year-end clearance and the usual assortment of books of all types, including hard-cover fiction, nonfiction, paperbacks, children’s books, old and rare books, metaphysical, sci-fi, videos, books-on-tape, audio tapes, etc.

All proceeds are used by the three county libraries for special programs, special book purchases and other unfunded needs.

Donations of books in good repair can be left at any of the three Nevada County libraries during business hours. Donated books also can be deposited inside the main entrance in marked containers at Longs Drug Store on Sutton Way and at the north entrance of the Raley’s store in the Pine Creek Center.
