Flying doctors raise funds with Mardi Gras

Los Medicos Voladores (The Flying Doctors) is a Northern California based nonprofit organization of medical professionals, pilots and volunteers providing free medical services for small villages in northern Mexico.

The group’s fund-raiser is the Mardi Gras party, from 6 to 11 p.m., Feb. 22, at the Mt. Vernon Grange Hall, 3185 Bell Rd., in Auburn. The public is invited. For a tax-deductible donation of $30 per person or $50 per couple, you can enjoy live Dixieland music, Cajun food and Mardi Gras fun.

Costumes are encouraged; masks and beads will be provided. Beer, wine and soft drinks will be available for purchase. Tickets are limited; call Bev Subberra at (530) 885-6635.
