Fire response

We express our deepest thanks to the firefighters and neighbors who responded to the fire near French Corral on Tuesday, July 27. The timely and professional response saved our home, as well as our neighbors’ homes. We are grateful to the California Department of Forestry, the Hot Shots from Truckee and the Penn Valley Fire District for their awesome skills. We are especially grateful to Chief Boyd Johnson and the outstanding local volunteers who make up the NSJ Fire District. They provide an invaluable service, and we are blessed to have them here.
