Fire grant was from FEMA

The recent brief article in The Union on the grant received by the North San Juan Fire Protection District could also have said that the money came from a Federal Emergency Management Agency grant program for firefighters, and that the Rough and Ready Fire Protection District and the Graniteville Fire Department received similar grant support. North San Juan’s grant application was a collective effort involving a number of people, including Fire Captain Orion Clemens who has devoted much of the past six months to the effort.
