Fair bus service offered

Gold Country Stage will provide special shuttle buses to and from the Nevada County Fairgrounds for people attending the county fair on Aug. 11 through 15.

The Grass Valley Fair Route will pick up passengers every 20 minutes at Church and Neal streets in downtown Grass Valley, at Pine Creek Center, and at Kmart, before proceeding to the fairgrounds. Buses will depart from Church and Neal starting at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday and at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The last bus will depart from the fairgrounds at 11:45 p.m.

The Nevada City Fair Route will depart every 35 minutes from the Rood Administrative Center in Nevada City. Additional stops will be at the National Hotel, across from the SPD Market on Zion Street, at Fowler Center and Glenbrook Center. Buses will depart from the Eric Rood Center starting at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, and at 9:30 a.m. on the remaining days. The last bus will depart from the fairgrounds at 11:45 p.m.

All regular Gold Country Stage routes will be operating as usual during the Fair, Wednesday through Saturday. Route 3 provides service to the corner of Brighton Street and McCourtney Road adjacent to the Fairgrounds. No service is provided on Sunday except for the special Fair Routes.
