Extras well treated

I was one of the fortunate locals that actually had the opportunity to be “background” (or in layman’s terms, an extra) in “The Christmas Card.” I must say that the prodution company of this project were incredibly gracious and fun to work with, in contrast to many productions I’ve worked on in L.A. Much of movie work is “hurry up and wait,” but our “handlers” made sure we were comfortable and definitely well fed. Meeting Ed Asner was wonderful. He is a very unpretentious and down to earth professional. I’m looking forward to seeing the finished project, even if my scene ends up on the cutting room floor.
