Janet Crumrine and David Wolfson, both of San Diego, have announced their engagement.

The future bride is the daughter of Joan and Jerry Crumrine of Yuba City. She is a graduate of Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, with a degree in civil engineering. She is a structural engineer with the firm of Richard Brady & Associates in San Diego. She is also working on an advanced degree in structural engineering at the University of California at San Diego.

The future bridegroom, a graduate of Nevada Union High School, is the son of Karen and Ron Wolfson of Nevada City. He is also a graduate of Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, with a degree in architectural engineering. He is a structural engineer and construction manager for Richard Brady & Associates.

The couple met in New York City in 2000 when both began working at the Thornton-Tomasetti Group engineering firm. They were both on-site recovery engineers during the Sept. 11, 2001, crisis.

The wedding date is pending.
