Empire Mine park seeks volunteers

Applications are being accepted for volunteers at the Empire Mine State Historic Park, 10791 East Empire, Grass Valley.

Volunteers can give guided tours to the general public and school groups, help maintain the landscaped grounds and heritage rose gardens, help rebuild and maintain historic buildings in the park, or be involved in the living history program at the Bourn Cottage and mine yard.

If you would like to get involved, call 273-7714 or view the Web site http://www.empiremine.org. Interviews are being conducted this month and classes start Feb. 25.
