DUI checkpoint at Truckee

What’s being called the largest checkpoint for drunken drivers in Nevada County will be set up in Truckee on Saturday.

Law enforcement officers from the county, Grass Valley, Nevada City, Truckee, California Highway Patrol and Placer County will operate the checkpoint to catch people for driving under the influence of alcohol.

The agencies plan to join forces at other DUI checkpoints throughout the year, and assistance will come from students at Truckee High School and the Nevada County chapter of Mothers Against Drunk Drivers.
