Drivers beware!

In addition to the overwhelming number of meth labs in our county, I’m am disgusted with the number of people with DUIs in our community!

I purposely stay off the roads at night because of the number of people who drink and drive after their evening out. However, now people are getting killed at 2 in the afternoon from [somebody] under the influence, i.e. the 22-year-old girl that was killed on [Highway] 49.

Our community should be outraged, and these offenders should be put away for life! We need to raise public awareness to this problem or the carnage on our roads will only continue.

Editor’s note: Since this letter was written, another person died of injures resulting from the June 11 crash on Highway 49.
