Doolittle signs

What about the Doolittle campaign signs? First you see them, then you don’t!

A few weeks ago Congressman Doolittle’s field rep asked if I would help place some 4X8 campaign signs. We placed about a half dozen around western Nevada County.

It wasn’t long before they were becoming vandalized or stolen if not both. One sign was vandalized next to the Wayne Brown Correctional Facility in the middle of the day. I would have thought the vandals would have looked over at the prison and would think “I could be living there.” The same sign was later stolen.

The vandals would spraypaint accusations of wrongdoing against Congressman Doolittle. What is theft and vandalism? I would certainly characterize them as wrongdoings though the accusations could be considered opinion. I think the vandals and thieves would not be able to comprehend the concept of hypocrisy.

These are desperate acts by people that don’t have a well defined sense of right and wrong which might lead you to question their accusations.

First we had an intense boiler room attack letter campaign, many signed with aliases. Now we have the thieves and vandals out in force. What’s next?
