Don’t blame the pot

This is regarding the article on Scott Thorpe and how Dr. Banister prescribed him marijuana as a medication for his neck and back pain.

Marijuana should not be put to blame for Thorpe’s actions. He already obviously had problems and it may have made him more paranoid, but I don’t believe that marijuana could cause a mental illness to turn any worse than it was before. It might not have helped it, but it certainly is not to be blamed for what happened on Jan. 10, 2001.
