Don’t be close-minded

I was looking through the newspaper and I came to the [letters to the editor]. I read the (Aug. 5 letter) titled “Dirty hippies?” It completely disgusts me how one person can be so close-minded and judgmental about other people who are not any less valuable then that person or any one else.

With all the terror and hatred in the world, I don’t understand how we as a community are supposed to build peace when someone can be so blinded, unable to see pictures of happy, beautiful people with big smiles on their faces, just enjoying the company of their friends and community.

If you want to judge or change peoples’ lives, then go some place where help is needed. Or you can start changing a life by learning how not to be close-minded.
